Plot Overview

Off duty Toby and Oz are walking along a street market when they come across a vendor lying on the ground with a young man standing over him with a hammer.

Trying to defuse the situation Toby is plagued by visions from the young man of a missing girl. Certain she's been abducted, he pursues the assailant but loses him in the backstreets retrieving a dropped bracelet. Back at the hospital he sees a poster of a girl, Ashley Higgins, missing for the last six months. Contacting the girls parents ,they identify the bracelet.

Telling Det Marks of his concern but with lack of more evidence, she is reluctant to act so Toby begins a search for the young man. He finds his name is Taz and is a known thief stealing girls magazines. His search leads him to a depository but the owner is uncooperative.

Toby finds Taz but in trying to escape again injures himself and ends up in hospital where Toby believes he might be another telepath but Taz cannot speak.

Meanwhile Oz is concerned about Toby's odd behaviour and seeks help from Dr Fawcett and his boss George Ryder.
