Plot Overview

Mentalist Merlin invites Illya and another UNCLE agent to a demonstration of his thought-reading machine, an event disrupted by THRUSH agents. Merlin is killed trying to escape the pursuing THRUSH agents, but Illya manages to hide the machine before he and Merlin's assistant are captured. Waverly drags a vacationing Solo into the fray, and he also gets captured. The three prisoners are caught between two rival THRUSH agents who are vying for one promotion, both of them hoping that the thought-reading machine will win it for one.
