The Monastery

The Monastery can refer to various programs, all with similar premises revolving around lay people living and working at a monastery (or convent) for an extended period of time.

• The Monastery (UK) is the original program that aired on BBC Two in early 2005, following five men living at Worth Abbey.
• The Monastery (USA) is the American version of the show set to air in the fall of 2006, following five men at a monastery and five women at a convent.
• The Monastery Revisited is a followup to the original British program, also set at Worth Abbey and set for air in May 2006.
• The Convent will follow five prospective nuns at a convent, also due to air in May 2006.
