Notes
Songs
- "This Just Doesn't Seem to Be My Day" and "Take a Giant Step", both from The Monkees.
- For the 1967 reruns, these songs were replaced by "You Told Me" from Headquarters and "The Girl I Knew Somewhere", the B-side to the "A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You" single.
- For the 1969 reruns, these songs were replaced by "Apples, Peaches, Bananas, and Pears", a track that would otherwise go unreleased until Rhino's 1987 Missing Links rarities collection, and "Good Clean Fun" from The Monkees Present.

The Show
Behind the Scenes
Though actually the third episode filmed, this was the first show directed by James Frawley, who would go on to direct nearly half of the episodes. This episode was moved up in the rotation perhaps because the producers felt this episode captured the feel of the series more than the first two.

Memorable Moments
As with many episodes of the series, this episode ends with a behind-the-scenes interview with the guys. In this case, they're disussing how they're reading next week's script.
