The Murdoch Mysteries, based on a series of novels by Maureen Jennings, feature William Murdoch, a late 19th Century detective in Toronto Canada who uses then-novel forensic techniques (e.g. fingerprinting and trace evidence) to solve crimes.
Series
- The Murdoch Mysteries (2004): A series of three tv movies directly adapting novels, starring Peter Outerbridge.
- Murdoch Mysteries (2008): A regular hour-long drama, starring Yannick Bisson, that features the characters from the novels but are not direct adaptations.
