The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore is a comedic talk show spun off from The Daily Show. It is hosted by Larry Wilmore who was previously the "Senior Black Correspondent" on The Daily Show. It replaced The Colbert Report after Stephen Colbert left to host The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The show initially had a set format, being broken down into four segments, starting with a monologue by Wilmore. Then Wilmore is joined by a panel of four guests, which can be made up of anyone including comedians, news reporters, politicians and show contributors. The next segment is 'Keeping it 100' when each panelist is asked a question and is expected to be honest. The final segment is Wilmore himself getting a 'Keeping it 100' question from twitter. As time went on, the format became more loose and generally just featured Wilmore's monologue, skits with contributors and then the panel consisting of Willmore, 2 contributors and a guest.
In development, the show was known as The Minority Report, but the name had to be changed as FOX was developing Minority Report, based on the 2002 film.
