The Penguins of Madagascar is an animated comedy that airs on Nickelodeon. It is a spinoff of the DreamWorks animated film series, Madagascar.
Some of the actors from the movies were not able to reprise their roles for the series. Animator Chris Miller was replaced by Jeff Bennett as the voice of Kowalski, Christopher Knights was replaced by James Patrick Stuart as Private, Sacha Baron Cohen was replaced by voice actor Danny Jacobs as King Julien, Kevin Michael Richardson replaced Cedric the Entertainer as the voice of Maurice, and actor Matt Nolan replaced Andy Richter as the voice of Mort (although Richter voices Mort in the series sometimes).
However, Tom McGrath, John DiMaggio, and Conrad Vernon all reprised their roles.
Some characters, like Marlene and Alice the zookeeper, were created especially for the series.
Also, Kowalski, Private, King Julien, Maurice, and Mort are all rumored to be voiced by their original voice actors sometimes.
