Plot Overview

An old friend of Rocky's comes to the trailer with a problem...his granddaughter has been kidnapped. Not long afterward, the man is murdered in what appears to be a burglary, and Rockford visits the girl's house, only to find it trashed. When he returns with the cops, the place is neat, looking like nothing happened...and later, the girl turns up, having not been kidnapped, but having been away on a geological exposition. Jim begins to suspect something's up when every other place on the dead man's block is up for sale, except his.
