Jim
We learn about Jim's last partner Jack Pendergrast. He had been partnered with the older man by Simon, back when both Simon and Jim were still rather new to Major Crimes. Jack taught Jim a lot about being a detective but went missing during a kidnapping case 4 years ago. In this epispde we learn that he'd been killed.
We also learn that Jim bought his appartment "The Loft" about a month after that case with money (50k $) he got as backpay from the military (covert ops) for his time spent in Peru.
Jim learns to "re-process" old memories with his hightened senses.
