Who Shot Mr. Burns? is the twenty-fifth episode of the sixth season of The Simpsons, and the one-hundred and twenty-eighth episode overall.

Plot Overview
Oil is discovered at Springfield Elementary School.The Gusher is worth Millions,and would bring many things to the School,and its Employers,and Employees.There are a number of suggestions as to what to do with the Money.Everybody is happy,except Mr.Burns who does not want competition to his wealth.Burns seeks to steal the the Schools Oil to continue being the only Wealthy Man in Springfield.Burns ploy is to tap into the Oil which is being drilled,and steal the Oil.Burns succeeds much to the outrage of the people of Springfield.Even Smithers who is often loyal to Burns is so outraged that he refuses to go along with Burns scheme.For this refusal Burns firs Smithers.Burns not only steals the Oil from the School,he also invented a device to block out the Sun,in broad daylight,using a Dome which cover all of Springfield.A Town meeting is called,and everybody is angry,and outraged that of what Burns has done.Various people throughout the Town have express their desire to punish Burns in some way.The Following are the people who wants revenge the most:Bart,because Burn's theft of the Oil had caused injury to his Dog Santa's Little Helper.Grampa,because Burn's negligence weakened the Foundation of his Retirement Home.He was forced to move in with the Simpsons.Lisa,because of Burns stealing the Oil he had caused Band Leader Tito Fuentes(who was hired to play Music at the School) to be fired.Principle Skinner,because Burns had deprived the School of Music,and needed repairs.Groundskeeper Willie,who wanted a Slopbucket,and now is deprived of one.Moe,because of Burn's negligence,caused his Bar to close.There was Toxic Fumes caused by the Oil of which Burns had pirated.Barney,because when Moe's had closed,he lost his only means of support.Homer has the lease important reason of all:Burn could never remember his name even when Homer sent him a Photo of him,and the Family.Burn could identity each Simpson,except Homer.Homer make another attempt to get Burns to remember his name,by writing in large capital letters on the Wall in Burnes Office.Even then Burn's ask Homer who he is.And,for this Homer snaps,attacks Burns,hauled away by Burnes Guard,and vows to get Burns.As for the people of Springfield,they are angry for the blocking of the Sun.Some of the other have threaten Burns,but Burns ignores their threats.On the night of the Meeting the peole of Springfield depart the Meeting Hall.Feeling as high as a kite because things look like there going his way,Burns walks around,until he stops to speak to an unseen figure.Only Burnes words are heard.In what sounds like a struggle a shot is heard.Burns comes out struggling,wounded from a gunshot,then falls on the Springfield Sundial.The Residence of Springfield all come out to see Burns shot.Who Shot Mr.Burns.Everybody in Town is a suspect.They each look at one-another.The conclusion of first part will be answered in part two.

Like a number of Who Done It mysteries,this one is no exception.Not a clue to when I first watched this episode.

- Dallas: Fifteen years after the Season 3 finale of the CBS primetime soap opera aired, where main anti-hero J.R. Ewing is shot and critically wounded, this episode aired. Similarities include the audience left wondering for months (through the summer rerun season) "Who Shot J.R.?", plus the events that led to the unknown gunman shooting J.R., namely angering everyone with his increasingly illegal and unethical activities all to benefit himself.
