The TV IV:Proposals/Contacts and Discussions

From The TV IV
Jump to: navigation, search
(This is sort of meta-discussion, but I didn't want to create its own section)

There are currently no easy to find contacts for this wiki - although that may be on purpose. Currently you have to find an admin page and get their contact details from there. A central admin@tviv.info would be nice on the main page.

Also, it'd be nice if there was a place for discussion and help for us members. An IRC channel would be great - the instant feedback makes a nice contrast to the post-and-wait nature of a wiki. Also, IRC is ephemeral (which means I can ask doofus questions and not have it live forever in the wiki database). Anything which gets asked a lot gets made concrete and put into a FAQ on the wiki. --Coolbutuseless 08:53, 13 Sep 2005 (EDT)

  1. Most of the SomethingAwful forums projects seem to pool on irc.zirc.org for what it's worth. I think the network is partially admined by SA forum users. --waffle iron 01:39, 14 Sep 2005 (EDT)
  2. channel #tviv on irc.zirc.org is protected by the channelserv. i can't get in. I'm sitting in #tviv2. --Coolbutuseless 02:16, 14 Sep 2005 (EDT)
  3. There is now a link on the Administrators page to e-mail the admins. This page is now linked on the sidebar. --CygnusTM 15:03, 14 Sep 2005 (EDT)
  4. The IRC channel is worthless. I go there periodically but there is never anyone there other than 1 or 2 bots. --MateoP 21:34, 24 Nov 2005 (EST)
  5. Why don't we go with Freenode? We would probably get a lot more people interested in the project just by being on these common IRC servers. --Matt 02:12, 23 September 2009 (EDT)
