Notes
Trivia
The Show
- Basil Hoffman would also appear in the 2009 film The Box, which was the feature film adaptation of the same story.
Behind the Scenes
- Matheson adapted his short story, but disapproved of the changes, especially the ending, so he used a pseudonym for the teleplay credit. In the short story, it was Norma's husband who was killed and whose insurance policy was responsible for the money. When Norma questions this, the stranger replies "Do you really think you knew your husband?"
