Plot Overview
The Monarch attacks the Venture Compound with a score of henchmen, including Henchmen 21, 24, and a new recruit. None of them get past the garage due to Brock, who beats down or slaughters every Henchman he sees, including the new guy, whose neck he snaps.
Dr. Venture resurrects the dead henchman, who freaks out and attacks, causing Brock to bash his head in. Later the henchman wakes up again, with a new African-American skullcap.
Outside the compound a van pulls up, full of strung-out hippies resembling the characters from Scooby-Doo. Their leader, Ted, wants to check out the Venture Compound, thinking that it's an old abandoned military base.
Dr. Venture forces his family to eat breakfast with the newly resurrected henchman, whom he has dubbed Venturestein. Venturestein keeps staring at Brock, and the Ventures point out that he's probably scared of Brock since Brock is the one who killed him twice. Dr. Orpheus comes in to tell Dr. Venture that he's having a party, though Venture couldn't care less. Orpheus is not pleased to see Venturestein, and ends up inviting Brock to come over and talk about death.
The "Groovy Gang" split up into two groups: Ted, Val, and Patty, and Sonny and Groovy. Ted spots Dr. Orpheus checking his mail and says they've stumbled into a Dracula factory.
While looking for African-America, Hank and Dean spot something in the manufacturing wing and go to investigate. Venturestein is lying in one of the learning beds, but he charges out looking for prostitutes. Ted sees him and says this must be a Frankenstein factory too.
Brock is in the garage throwing knifes, but his aim is off. He goes to see Dr. Orpheus, whose party involves "healing and human oneness." Brock is suddenly not sure he belongs there. Just then, Dr. Venture calls Brock up on the wrist communicator. He needs dead people — lots of them. He just made a deal with the government to provide them with zombie soldiers, but he doesn't have enough bodies, so he needs Brock to go kill more people. Brock flatly tells him no.
Hank and Dean confront Sonny and Groovy. Sonny runs off, bumping into the rest of the gang. It turns out that he met Hank and Dean before in Baha... and beat them to death. He's freaked out now, and so is everyone else when they see the boys for themselves.
At the party, all of the attendees drink death root, and Brock talks about killing the henchman. Everyone starts to throw up, and Brock starts to hallucinate. He admits to feeling bad about killing the henchman. In his vision he starts to embrace empathy, until a vision of his mentor Hunter sets him straight.
Ted goes after Hank and Dean with a gun, chasing them into the cloning lab. The boys see their own clones floating in the tanks, and go into catatonic shock. Venturestein wanders in, slipping on a clone and grabbing the dog by the neck, killing it. Brock charges in, shooting Sonny and smashing Ted's face in. Val and Patty run off. Dr. Venture comes in looking for Venturestein, and snaps the boys out of their stupor by lying to them, saying that the clones were actually a Christmas present that they've now ruined. He sends the boys away, and counts the bodies on the floor. He's ready to pull the plug on the clones, but Brock stops him.
In the end, Brock drives away with Venturestein to score some hookers.

Characters
- Venturestein: A new Monarch henchman from Texas, he ends up getting killed by Brock on his first outing. Dr. Venture resurrects him for a new government project, but the project gets shelved and Brock ends up making friends with Venturestein.
- The Groovy Gang: Made up of Ted, Val, Patty, Sonny, and Groovy, they drive around looking for mysteries at Ted's insistence. Ted keeps Patty in a box most of the time, and tells her that they are on their way to her mother's house, though it has been ten years. Val is a militant feminist and probably a lesbian. Groovy is a dog that talks to Sonny and only Sonny, making him believe he's crazy. They previously ran into Hank and Dean in Baha, where a freaked-out Sonny and Groovy killed both boys. The Groovy Gang dumped the bodies. When they see Hank and Dean walking around alive at the Venture Compound, the Groovy Gang freaks out.
- Dr. Venture: The items on Venture's to-do list include:
- Beat God at his own game
- Get money
- Increase my word power
- Pushups
Referbacks
- 1x04 - Eeny, Meeny, Miney... Magic: Ted refers to Dr. Orpheus as a "Dracula", just like Hank and Dean did when they first saw the necromancer.
