The Walking Dead/Daryl Dixon
From The TV IV
- One of the major difference from the graphic novels is that Daryl is an original creation of the series. While he has no direct analogue, some of his attributes were given to the later added character of Dwight in the graphic novels.
- Norman Reedus originally auditioned for the part of Merle Dixon. While he was rejected, the producers were so impressed, they created the character of Daryl for him.
- Is currently the longest lasting character in the series, not only in terms of longevity, but also in number of appearances.
