Plot Overview
Aaron's disappointment about Barrett assigning a case that means a great deal personally to him to new NLO member Chris goes away somewhat when he's assigned to aid a celebrated defense attorney in the murder trial of a college professor and his lover, who are accused of killing his wife. At first, a wily prosecutor tries to use Aaron to get the girl to turn on her co-defendant, and Aaron takes the offer to her, but she refuses to turn on her boyfriend, claiming that they're both innocent and will go down together if they have to. The more Aaron becomes involved in the case, the more he believes the girl is truly innocent and would benefit from being tried separately.
