Paul Ironhorse is a main character in the television series War of the Worlds.

Basic Information

Is the more conservative member of the Blackwood Project, more often clashing with the other three than they do with each other. He is in charge of security at the Cottage and is the de facto fighter during confrontations with the aliens and in charge of the use of any military force. He reports directly to General Henry J. Wilson.

Character History

Ironhorse grew up to be ashamed of his Native American heritage, only learning to appreciate it later in life. He attended West Point Academy and later fought in Vietnam. He was in charge of the tracking down a terrorist group that had overrun a nuclear waste site when he crossed paths with Harrison Blackwood.

• Wipes out the entire aboveground base infiltrated by aliens all by himself.

Trivia

• Richard Chaves initially lost the role. However, he got the part when negotiations with the selected actor broke down.

• Was one of the many causalities of the creative shakeup of Season 2.

• Ironhorse most often clashed with Harrison due to the two be the most opposing in personalities. No doubt as a result, this fuelled a lot of slash fan fiction between the two.
