Plot Overview
Aletha Smoak and her husband, Glen (who is a hunter and fisherman) are gun-toting conservatives who haven't shared the same bedroom in 10 years. Their only neighbors are three generations of Aletha's family, who visit the house frequently.
Aletha swaps lives with animal rights activist Amy Beaver of Arkansas; Amy and her husband, Jeff are environmentalists who are anti-NRA and share a bedroom; they treat their 10-year-old daughter, Emily like the third adult in the family, the house is disorganized, Amy doesn't work or clean the house and the Beavers have moved 15 times in the last 10 years.
