Plot Overview

Jeff and Stu are out of the office (Jeff on vacation, Stu testifying in Las Vegas), leaving Kookie in charge of the office and taking an emergency call from an old friend of Stu's. The young detective rushes to the mansion of Stu's eccentric, rich friend, only to discover that the emergency is that her little dog is missing. Kookie finds the missing dog--very much dead, from an unusual form of suffocation. Suspecting that something worse is about to happen, he accepts an invitation to be a house guest of the rich lady, and soon his hunch is proved right--someone is out to kill the old lady, and he has to find out which of her equally eccentric relatives or servants is the would-be killer.
