Plot Overview
Lt. Gilmore arrests mobster Norm Leach on a murder charge, but the case may be thrown out because a witness refuses to tell what he saw. Leach demands that either Jeff or the police find a singer that he was allegedly with at the time of the murder, but both sides refuse. All evidence points to Gil as having fabricated evidence to get Leach, and the cop gets in hot water, first for the impropriety charge, then for assaulting Leach. All the while, Gil and his wife are receiving harassing calls, and eventually one call sets in motion a murder frame for Gil, the victim being the missing singer. Jeff, Kookie and Roscoe then go to work to clearing their friend of the new charge.
