Plot Overview
A woman is killed when she borrows her neighbor's car, on which the brakes were tampered with. Kookie becomes involved as the car owner's husband is a friend and former client. He's thrown into a complicated mess involving possible adultery (on the part of both his friend, his friend's wife, the dead woman's husband and an attractive advertising executive) and a blackmailing Lothario of a mechanic.

Elinor Donahue plays a character named Laura Holt in this episode. Twenty years later, Laura Holt would be the name of one of the principal characters in Remington Steele, played by Stephanie Zimbalist, daughter of Efrem Zimbalist, Jr.! (Efrem would turn up eventually in a recurring role on Remington Steele.)
