Plot Overview
A deaf librarian calls on Stu after reading the lips of someone threatening one of her favorite patrons. This sends the detective down to the small town of San Marino, and he soon realizes he's been played for a sucker when the threatened man is murdered. When it's learned that the dead man served a prison stretch for counterfeiting, it leads Stu to discover a scheme to defraud a financier using counterfeit money.
