- Sloane shoots Jack, leaving him mortally wounded. In retaliation, Sydney shoots Sloane in the head, killing him. After Jack convinces Sydney to leave him, Jack finds that Sloane has been revived and is now immortal. He does his best to prevent him from hurting Sydney by blowing himself up, which causes a cave-in that leaves Sloane trapped. Even the apparition of Nadia leaves him.
- Sydney confronts Irina and during their fight, Irina falls onto a glass skylight. Despite Sydney's pleas, Irina attempts to take the Rambaldi sphere, which causes her to crash through and to her death.

- In a flash forward set about seven years later, Sydney and Vaughn now have a boy named Jack, Carrie and Marshall have four boys, and Dixon is Deputy Director at the CIA. While Rachel is still working for the CIA, it's implied that Sydney and Vaughn have left, but are occasionally approached for assignments.
