Plot Overview
Dru came in with her when the matron led Missy, in a great state of shock, into her cell. Alice came home to find Russ engrossed in either "Archives of Surgery" or "Medical Worlds News," and was annoyed he wasn't interested in her talk with Lenore. As they discussed possible surgery for John, Mary came home to tell them of Missy's arrest. They discussed the reasons why it happened. Dru frightened Missy with mention of a Grand Jury hearing, then disappointed her by not letting Bill visit her in jail. Mary and Alice went off to prepare dinner for Dru, who told Russ they now needed to find the real killer. Ada wanted Sam to calm down since she'd told Rachel he'd been in South America, not wanting her to know he'd been in jail. Sam accused her of making Rachel think she was better than anybody else, to fulfill Ada's own failed dreams. Rachel came home and wondered if Sam received the first dividend from his investment so she could go west. Sam grabbed the paper when Rachel showed him the new edition with Missy's arrest. Missy was fearful that the matron may have heard her whisper Bill's name.
