Plot Overview
Romero is concerned about Norman, coming at odds with Norma. He even reaches out to Dylan who confronts Norma after finding an earring belonging to Emma's mother. Seeing the toll being taken on his mother, Norman makes plans for them both.

- Rebecca wears a wire for the DEA to get Romero on confessing to Bob Paris's murder. He figures it out and calls out the DEA on their attempt to snare him.
- Going through the attic, Norman discovers Audrey's suitcase, along with the nightgown he was wearing when he killed her. He buries the suitcase in the yard.
Characters
- Dylan confronts Norma about Audrey's earring in her coat and the concerns he shares with Romero. In what would be the last thing he says to her, he tells her that despite her earnest attempts, she's never been a real mother to him. He then tells her he's done and leaves.
- Romero tries to get Dylan to help him have Norman committed. Norma finds out and she fights with him and later writes a goodbye letter with her wedding ring in it.
- Norman attempts a murder-suicide by turning on the faulty furnace and making sure all the vents are shut except the one pumping into the room where he and Norma sleep. Romero shows up and his attempt saves Norman, but Norma never wakes up.
