The Resurrection Ship

An elaborate body storage device, the Cylon Resurrection Ship is designed to facilitate the transfer of a killed Cylon's consciousness across distances too vast for regular means. It was apparently constructed in response to the increasing distance of the Cylon fleet shadowing the Colonials from the Cylon homeworld, which left any Cylon infiltrators in the Colonial fleet out of range for consciousness transfer into a new body upon death.

High-resolution pictures of the interior of the Resurrection Ship taken by Kara "Starbuck" Thrace using Galactica's Blackbird stealth ship showed dozens if not hundreds of identical Six units awaiting activation.

History

• The Resurrection Ship in the Cylon fleet following the Colonials was destroyed along with its escort vessels in Resurrection Ship (2). It is unknown whether or not that was the only Resurrection Ship in use by the Cylons or whether or not more exist.

Trivia

• The episode Scar revealed that destroyed Cylon Raiders can also be resurrected.
