Electronic Countermeasures Officer
On a Raptor, the ECO (Electronic Countermeasures Officer) is responsible for the function of the Raptor's extensive ECM (Electronic CounterMeasures) systems, as well as sensor systems, DRADIS, and various other non-pilot functions. Functions normally controlled by the ECO (such as sensors) can also be controlled by the pilot, but the addition of the ECO allows the pilot to concentrate more fully on his or her job without distraction.
