Plot Overview
A famous concert pianist is blown sky-high during a concert where he's playing a composition that only he could play. The bomb was a vibration bomb that went off when a certain chord was hit. After hearing that the maestro argued with several people at a pre-concert party, Burke sets out to question them: the pianist's ex-wife, a once-promising opera singer now reduced to singing in jazz clubs; his bitter rival, who insists that HE is the greatest pianist; his current girlfriend, a 'mother Bunny' at the local Playboy club; and his brother, a washed-up horror film star who inherited enough money to revive his career, due to the victim's untimely demise. On top of all this, Amos has to deal with colorful visiting Uncle Patrick from Ireland, who provides an off-the-cuff remark that solves the case.
