Plot Overview
Famous magician Alexander the Great is very much alive when he's placed in a coffin and lowered into a pool to perform his famous escape trick...but when the coffin is raised, he's dead...from a bullet wound! Amos and Peter conjure up a number of suspects, including rival magicians, Alexander's widow, and his estranged daughter, but when the body disappears, it's going to take some special magic to solve the mystery.

This storyline was done on the original Burke's Law ("Who Killed Merlin the Great?"), and writers Richard Levinson and William Link tweaked it somewhat for the pilot of their short-lived magic mystery series, Blacke's Magic ("Breathing Room").
