Plot Overview
A bunch of comedians gather for a roast, but what happens to the guest of honor is not funny: he winds up getting roasted--fatally--by a microphone. The Burkes check out a list of suspects including a number of the dead man's fellow comics, along with his wife and son. Amos discovers that the victim had an illegitimate daughter, and that she may also be a target of the killer.

The Show
Both Jack Carter and Rue McClanahan guest-starred on the original Burke's Law, interestingly enough, in the same episode, "Who Killed April?".
In an episode full of comedians, it's ironic that Dom DeLuise, who was the comic relief on the series, does not appear in this episode...the only one he doesn't appear in!
