Moving Violation is the fourth episode of the first season of CHiPs, and the fourth episode overall.
Guest Stars: Catherine Ferrar (Brenda), James Nichols (Snake Thief), Harvey Parry (Andy), Kathi Kuni (Hippy Girl), Fawne Harriman (Mrs. Karantz), Roosevelt Grier (car destroyer), Derek Wilcox (Jeff Karantz)
Ponch manages to get a low-flying plane to land safely on the freeway and makes a date with the sexy pilot, which he winds up regretting, not only because she's annoying, but also because he gets cited for a moving violation during the date. He ends up going to traffic school (in disguise) to wipe the points off his record. He and Jon also have to figure out who would steal a rickety old school bus from a church just down the street from the precinct, deal with a giant of a man who reacts to a speeding ticket by smashing his car (with his bare hands!), and save a speeding van thief trapped in the overturned van with a snake. Getraer also has Jon do something no officer enjoys doing--telling a young mother that her husband has been killed in an accident.

"That guy could wipe out the entire front line of the Dallas Cowboys!"--Ponch reacts to the guy smashing his own car, and that guy probably DID wipe out Dallas's front line in real life...he's played by L.A. Rams legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Roosevelt 'Rosey' Grier.
