Plot Overview

An undercover cop who's a friend and neighbor of Annabeth's is fatally gunned down, and a drug-dealing informant is arrested for the crime. Subsequent investigation clears the accused man, but now the spotlight is on the dead cop's drug unit, which is suspected of being corrupt. Annabeth gets one member of the unit to reveal where the murder weapon was ditched, but the team leader, who was on trial for the murder manages to beat the rap. But when a second corpse is found, that of a young hooker whom the team leader fixed up with the dead man, will they be able to nail him for a new murder charge?
