Plot Overview
Annabeth's task: getting a murder charge levied against a suspect who was attacked by an overzealous cop upon being arrested and also questioned without his Miranda rights, not to mention the absence of a body, but the suspect also has an overwhelming amount of his victim's blood in his van. Further complicating matters: the PD assigned to the case is an old college friend of hers, who invokes attorney-client privilege after he visits the site where his client hid the body, as well as that of another man. Once Annabeth discovers the motive for the killings, as well as discovering that there is a third victim who just may be alive, she has to persuade her friend to step down from the case and testify.
