Notes
Trivia
The Show
- The ashtray from "Father's Day" can be seen on the Phillips' kitchen table.
- There are a handful of references to Gray Matter in the episode:
- Adrienne Barbeau, previously appearing that episode, as well as the original film, returns in a voice-only cameo.
- Chet is seen drinking a bottle of Harrow's Supreme.
- Rose is seen looking over the same math book that Timmy was looking over.
Behind the Scenes
- The segment is written by Joe Hill, who is the son of Stephen King, a producer of the original Creepshow. Hill also played Billy, the abused child in the wraparound of said film.
Allusions and References
- Rose's little brother Joseph is seen playing with a paper boat labeled "S.S. Champy" in the kitchen sink. This is a reference to IT, where George Denborough does the same with a boat labeled "S.S. Georgie".
- Barbeau's character, who warns of oncoming fog, is a radio DJ named Jolene Payne. This is a reference to Stevie Wayne, her DJ character from the 1980 film The Fog.
- Chet continuously refers to Thomas, Rose's romantic interest, as "Rambo", after the character of the film series of the same name.
