Notes
Trivia
The Show
- The teaser is the only live-action segment in the whole special.
- Richard at one point is handed a slip with the name "Nicotero" written on it, a reference to the series' executive producer Greg Nicotero.
- Although the title sequence is the same, the theme music now resembles the theme from the first Creepshow film.
- Phil Hammersmith, the man Richard is seen with at the barbecue, is modelled on Stephen King.
Behind the Scenes
- Greg Nicotero wanted to adapt this Stephen King story in the first season, but shelved it due to budget, hoping it could be done in the second season. He found the development of an animated special to be the perfect means to finally add it to the series.
Allusions and References
- Kiefer Sutherland, who voices Richard, is also known for portraying Ace Merrill in Stand by Me, which is an adaptation of Stephen King's short story "The Body".
Memorable Moments
Goofs
- When the Creep takes the pen to paper, a blot of ink falls on it that's gone in the next shot.
