• The first episode to feature a story that takes up the whole episode instead of two put together.

• While the opening theme remains the same as from the first special, the closing theme music is replaced by Christmas-themed music.

Allusions and References

• Ann Poole reports that some of Robert's victims have been identified:

• One of them is known as Waldemar Daminski, named after the werewolf character actor from such films as Frankenstein's Bloody Terror.

• Another is named Tony Rivers, played by Michael Landon in I Was a Teenage Werewolf.

• The third is named Ginger Fitzgerald, after the title character played by Katharine Isabelle in the Ginger Snaps film trilogy.

• Robert uses the password "Landis" to try and get into the SA meeting. This is a reference to John Landis, director of An American Werewolf in London.

• The old woman who curses Robert to become a werewolf has a dog named "Maleva". This is the same name belonging to the gypsy from the 1941 version of The Wolf Man.

• Robert's doctor is named Dr. Talbot, much like Lawrence Talbot from the above film.

• Phyllis also refers to Ryan/Bob as "Lon Chaney", after the actor who portrayed Talbot.

• Scott Howard, the were-tortoise, has the same name as the protagonist of Teen Wolf.

• Similarly, Irena Reed, the were-cheetah, has the same name as the protagonist of Cat People.

• While aiming his gun, Robert very nearly exclaims "Yippee ki yay, motherfucker!", one of the most memorable lines from the film Die Hard.

• When detailing how Ryan/Bob never says anything or moves from his seat, Andy compares him to the Terminator, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the film franchise of the same name.
