Happenings

  • The wife of the car's owner reported the car stolen and has an alibi. Rae goes on to give a description of the killer wearing a strange hat. Vincent Marx mentions a sailor who was with Myers before him. Leo and Mick put this together with the fact that the tar found in the car has a lot of salt content and the racetrack where the car was stolen is near the dock area. They deduce that the killer might be a sailor.
  • Vincent Marx's lawyer wants to disinter the body of Suzanne Myers, the prostitute he allegedly killed to get x-rays since the ones that had been taken have disappeared. Attempting to disinter the body proves difficult as they initially find a child's coffin in its place and another attempt reveals two coffins in one plot. The records have gone missing.
  • The diplomat's prostitute is traced back to Elegant Companions, which employs Madeline. She overhears Mick and Kosmo talking about needing the name of the doctor and she relays this to the agency's doctor. When homicide interviews him, he claims to have written a penicillin prescription for Gerry. The doctor has Madeline leave him, but not before he has her plant a bottle of penicillin with a subscription made to him in his bathroom. Gerry's arrested, but with no witness to him giving it to the prostitute, he'll walk.
  • At Marx's urging, Leo looks at an inmate by the name of Pete Kowalski, who claims Marx confessed to him and gave a detailed description of the murder, which is what convinced the jury. He was released soon after with the detective that interviewed being Regan and the case is what made him sergeant.
  • After successfully interring Myers, it's found that the tool used on both she and Madeline's mother are exactly the same.
  • Regan visits Kowalski in prison.
  • What appears to be the killer leaves on a ship heading out of Vancouver.
  • Vincent Marx is found dead in his cell.

Characters

  • Leo's wife appears to be getting worse since the night before she didn't recognise him and locked herself in the bedroom, forcing him to sleep on the couch.

  • Dominic: What are you doing? I'm watching that.
Gabriella: You've seen it before.
Dominic: Put it back.
Gabriella: The blind guy does it.
Dominic: I don't care. Put it back anyway. I like to watch them - How they work it out, how they catch the guy. Come on.
Gabriella: They don't even catch the guy.
Dominic: Shit!
Gabriella: Language.
