Happenings

  • Sue shows up at Rick's and finds his throat slit. She leaves, but calls the police the next morning.
  • Brian suddenly shows up following Rick's murder. He claims to have been sick with the flu and holed with a girlfriend, which Marla supports. They need her to continue riding with him with their undercover investigation now stalled.
  • Brian tells Mick about Pierce and him asking to get Rick's criminal record. He also claims Sue was partying Rick the night before. After giving Sue a heads-up, Mick and Kosmo question Pierce about Rick's murder. He admits he told Brian that he wanted Rick to go away. They advice him to get a lawyer and later approaches him with an appeal to cooperate.
  • Brian later repeats this to Leo and Rose, but warns them that Sue is Kosmo's informant and that she might try to protect her.
  • Willa Edwards finds another witness to the beating on Darcy Charlie. However, his record makes him hesitant as he feels like he lacks credibility.
  • Klotchko recants his complaint regarding the O.D.
  • Brenda moves out on Pierce and she believes he asked Brian to kill Rick.
  • Brian later catches up with Sue and offers her a deal to pin it on Pierce by agreeing to plant something in his apartment.

Characters

  • Mick admits to feeling better having been waking up at the beach, better than he did earlier in the year.
  • Dominic admits he has a thing with Claire, but only in his mind.

Quotes

  • Bob Kelly: So if you do become the next Chief of Police of our fair city, what can we expect?
Dominic: Probably a sudden rash of cardiac arrests the morning it's announced, followed by exodus to Ontario.
  • Leo: You know, you should be careful, jumping in front of me like that. I got big feet. I could have stepped on you.
Brian: I'm trying to help you with your homicide, okay? I have some information for you.
Leo: Yeah? Well, I don't have to kiss your ass for it, do I?
Brian: Actually, yeah. Why don't you just do that? Why don't you kiss my ass?
Leo: Bend over and drop your drawers.
