Characters
Aeryn, like all Sebaceans, has a low tolerance to heat. If the temperature increases enough, they become subject to heat delerium, which erodes their short-term memory, impairs motor functions, and then destroys their long-term memory. This does not kill them, but the final result is called the Living Death, and it is considered a mercy to kill the sufferers.

The Show
This is the only episode where time is counted in Hours - first by Pilot, then by Zhaan. Subsequently, small time slices are referred to as Arns, each of which is equivalent to a few hours.
