Plot Overview
The episode opens with John Crichton walking with his father Jack Crichton, on their way to see D.K., Jack hands John his ring, as a good luck charm. When they meet up with D.K., there is some mentioning of the upcoming experiment, that John is about to perform. The launch of the shuttle is a success, John gets into space, and launches his pod. Everything appears to be going normal, but Canaveral picks up some weird radiation, and John is sucked into a wormhole.
On the other side of the wormhole, Crichton finds himself in the middle of a battle. He clips a Peacekeeper Prowler, and the fighter careens into a nearby meteor and explodes. Meanwhile, Crichton is caught in Moya's docking web and pulled inside. He is led to the bridge of the ship by a DRD, where he meets Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan & Ka D'Argo, and is injected with translator microbes so that he can understand their alien languages. During the exchange on the bridge, Crichton learns that D'Argo, Zhaan and Rygel are convicts that were being transported to a prison colony, they broke free and took control of Moya. The convicts work to get Moya's control collar off, and finally do so, but not without damage to the ship. With Moya now able to starburst, she does so, and escapes from the battle, but a Prowler has been pulled along with Moya.

Quotes
- Crichton: What is the matter with you people?
- (with high-pitched voices)
- Zhaan: Rygel?
- Crichton: What just happened
- Rygel: It's a perfectly natural bodily function. And it's odorless.
- D'argo: So your loyal subjects tell you.
- Crichton: You fart helium?
- Rygel: You know, you only expose your ignorance if you don't concede knowledge of The Hurlian Stone.
- Shop Creature:: (roars menacingly) Twenty.
- Rygel: Twenty barrels of fluid? There was a time when you would be disemboweled for such an insult.
- Shop Creature: (roars menacingly)
- Rygel: Thirty-five?
- Crichton: Don't move! Or I'll fill you full of... little... yellow bolts of light!
- Aeryn:: Listen to me. If you want to live: choose your allegiances carefully. That's not to say there are any guarantees, though.
- John: Hey, what are you doing?
- Rygel:: Hmm, your equipment may be worth something in trade.
- John: My equipment.
- Rygel: Are you a sound sleeper?
