Basic Information
Hired by Mal as Serenity's pilot over the objections of first mate Zoe Alleyne, Wash came highly recommended by several other ship captains. This was the primary reason that Mal overruled Zoe on the matter of hiring him despite Zoe's apparent instant dislike of the odd pilot. Zoe apparently came around, however, because Wash and Zoe married and have a loving, if a bit odd, relationship.
Wash has a weird sense of humor and plays with plastic toy dinosaurs.
