Allusions and References
- The episode features a few Star Trek reference from Johnny's last words being "Beam me up, Scotty" to Dr Picard exclaiming in a Scottish accent, "Captain, the dilithium crystals are running out!" - both of which are reference to original series. Picard, whose name is likely a reference to Jean-Luc Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation, is played by Tim Russ who would go on to star in Star Trek: Voyager.
- Just before the last scientist dies, he exclaims, “Mein Führer, I can walk!” This is a reference to the 1964 film Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.
