- Ed, Al, and Armstrong return to Central.
- Scar and the homunculi Lust and Gluttony fight at the Central Library 1st Branch, destroying it.
- Ed and Al get a copy of Dr. Marcoh's notes from Sciezka. They discover the essential ingredient for creating a Philosopher's Stone is living human beings.
Characters
- Lt. Maria Ross and Lt. Denny Bloch are introduced. They are assigned as guards to Ed and Al.
- Sciezka: first seen in 1x07, she gets a full introduction here. Since her first appearance she has been fired from her job at the Central Library. She is hired by Lt. Colonel Hughes to work in the Court Martial office.
