Zapp Brannigan is a character in Futurama, voiced by Billy West.

Brannigan is a decorated general in the military. As well as his duties in Earth's military, he is also the captain for the D.O.O.P. starship, The Nimbus. He is one of the most frequently recurring characters in the series along with his lieutenant, Kif Kroker.

• Zapp Brannigan was originally to be voiced by Phil Hartman, but he was murdered before the series went into production. In order to let his spirit live on, Billy West assumed the role and does his best Phil Hartman impression.
