Big Man on a Little Stick is the twenty-first episode of the first season of Gilligan's Island.

Plot Overview

A Surfer name Duke Williams rides his Surfboard on the Island.He was caught in a Sunami which called him to come to the Island.Having met the Castaways,and knowing of how they came to the Island,Duke is anxious to return to the Mainland,and alert others of the Castaways predicament.But,having seen Mary Ann,and Ginger,Duke is hesitant to get back into shape to make the surf back Home.At first Duke is enamored with Ginger,and Mary Ann,and they admire his physique.But soon,Duke wants more from the two women...physically speaking.The Women go from admiring Duke's physique to running away from his advances.They seek help from Lovey Howell,who advises them to discourage Duke.They take Lovey's advice,and seeks the help from Gilligan,and the Professor.The latter two pretend to have romantic interest in the two women making sure Duke sees them.Duke will be so jealous that he would want to return Home,to forget Ginger,and Mary Ann,but still inform the Authorities about the Castaways being stranded.Duke leaves.Some days later,the Castaways listen to the Radio about Dukes return to the Mainland.Hoping that he will tell his story about being stranded with the Castaways of the SS Minnow.Unfortunately,Duke has developed a case of amnesia.He has no memory of who he is,or where he has been for the last few days.It will take the Doctors years to help Duke regain his memory.Thus,the Castaways hope of another rescue is dashed.

Gilligan is fishing,and catches a Fish friend named Irving.Duke exercises.The Howells prepare for the Hut visit of Duke(for whom they believe to be Royalty).Ginger,and Mary Ann run from Duke,into their Hut.

This is Denny Miller first of two appearances.He would play Tongo the Actor pretending to be an Apeman on a later episode.
