Plot Overview
The Castaways are decorating their Christmas Tree when they hear on the Radio about a group of Castaways being spotted on an Island,and would soon be rescued.The Castaways are elated believing that they are going to be rescued.This timing with Gilligans wish to be rescued is the perfect Christmas wish.The Castaways prepare for the arrival of the rescue Ship.They reminiece about the day they were first Shipwrecked.The Skipper sizes up the situation of it may take some time to get back home.The Howells emerge soon after from the Ship,as does the rest of the Castaways.Gilligan while fishing unwittingly snags the Radio which ends up in the Sea.While gathering the large fishes that were caught,he hears sounds coming from one of the fishes.The fish had swallowed the Radio,and another they would discover had swallowed the Transmitter.The Castaway's search for the transmitter proves fruitful.Found The Professor is able to build a receiver to make contact with Civilization.The Skipper uses a Mayday code nearly makes contact before Gilligan accidently breaks the Transmitter.There ends the flashback to the Castaways earlier attempt at being rescued.Waiting for the rescue Ship in the present time,the Castaways learn on the Radio that the Ship that they thought would rescue them were referring to another group of Castaways.No Rescue,but a very merry Christmas still comes to the Castaways when Santa Claus( Skipperlike) makes the sullen Castaways realize that they are blessed to alive,and as Friends.
