Plot Overview
While serving the Howells(as a paid Servant),Gilligan hears on the Radio that a Ticket in the Sweepstakes Number is announced.The winning Ticket Number is one that Gilligan had purchased before their Shipwrecked.Having won the Ticket,it is Gilligan is treated as Royalty by the Howells.They are so thrilled to have another Millionaire on the Island.They even induct Gilligan as a new Member in their Exclusive Club.Howell gives Gilligan a Membership Blazer.Gilligan is so thrilledto be Millionaire that he invites his friends:The Skipper,Ginger,The Professor,and Mary Ann to become Members.Gilligan writes his own version of a Membership Card.He gives one to each Friend.One Night,each Castaway enters Howells Exclusive Club with Membership written by Gilligan.The Howells are not so thrilled with the other acting as equals despite Gilligan being a Member.After everybody comes,and Gilligan arrives Howell demand Gilligan produce the winning Sweepstakes Ticket as proof that he actually has a Ticket.Gilligan who thought he carried the winning Ticket on him cannot find the Ticket.Because of not having the Ticket as proof,Howell ushers everybody out of his Exclusive Club,and removes the Blazer that he gave to Gilligan,thus cancelling his,and his friends Membership.Gilligan,and the others are so upset about being thrown out of the Club,that they search the Island for the Ticket.Nobody finds the Ticket,but instead find other items that Gilligan had lost on the Island,including his never finished Novel.Later that night,Howell grumbles,feeling that he had been deceived by Gilligan.So upset that he falls asleep,and his a dream about discovering Gold.Howell as a dirty old Prospector has his Gold check to find out how much it is worth.The Assayer,says that he is worth One-Million Dollars.He writes a Deed,and cautions Howell not to lose the Deed.Having learned about Howells sudden wealth everybody starts to treat him like royalty,buying him drinks,and protecting him.However,this royal treatment would soon come to an end.After writing some I.O.U.'s to some of these people,and Howell not finding the Deed that he was warned not to lose,he is treated as a common criminal.He is hauled away to be hanged.The dream ends at that point.Howell,understanding his dream,and believing that Gilligan actually had a Sweepstakes Ticket,goes to his Hut to tell Gilligan about his dream.When Howell arrives there,he sees Gilligans Ticket,pinned on the Wall of his Hut,and gives it to him.He tells Gilligan to tell the others that they are back in Howells Exclusive Club.After Gilligan leaves,Howell lets Lovey know that the Ticket is actually worthless,having found out that it had expired some time ago.He,and Lovey will keep this a secret from the others.However,the next day,Gilligan learns of the Tickets expiration date,and realizes that Howell knew all the time.Gilligan looks at Howell in a new light:That he is truly a nice guy.Howell,however warns Gilligan not to mention it to the others.Gilligan complies.
