Plot Overview
The good ship partnership: Lorelai and Sookie team up to cater a children's Lord of the Rings birthday party, twins trap Rory at her first Yale party and Richard goes into business with the son of his former associate.
Lorelai goes to Yale to visit Rory with new accessories. After entering the dorm common room, she sniffs the air and declares that Emily has been there. Rory assures her Emily has not been there before the two of them head out. When Rory arrives back at the dorm at the end of the day, there are sofas, a coffee table, ottoman and a complete entertainment center. Emily calls to confirm that everything is fine and admits to sneaking in the day before to check sizes.
Sookie convinces Lorelai to start a catering business with her in order to generate some extra income while work is proceeding with the inn. Sookie admits to already arranging to cater a kid's birthday party and wants Lorelai to organize. When they arrive at the party, Lorelai has arranged the costumes for a Lord of the Rings themed party and Sookie has cooked a lot of gormet food that children will never eat. Sookie has a panic attack, declaring she can't do it, be a mother. Lorelai reassures her that she will be fine, and it is too late now anyway.
There is a floor party at Rory's dorm. Sometime during the night, Rory wakes up and goes into the hallway to finda naked guy sleeping on the floor. She wakes him up and gives him her bath robe to wear.
Richard decides to go into business with Jason Stiles.
