Trivia

One of the most familiar voices in all of television...it was his voice that we heard over the credits of most Quinn Martin-produced series, starting with The F.B.I. in 1965 and going all the way to the final Barnaby Jones episode in 1980. He did not announce for the following QM series: The New Breed, The Fugitive, 12 O'Clock High and The Invaders. Dick Wesson served as the opening credits announcer on those, with help from William Conrad on The Fugitive and William Woodson on The Invaders. There was no announcer over the credits of Tales of the Unexpected or A Man Called Sloane, though Simms' voice can be heard over the opening preview of the former. His voice can also be heard in episodes of The Fugitive and The Invaders.
