Plot Overview

While awaiting trial for the murder of Dynomutt, Harvey fires Blue Falcon as his defense lawyer and goes off on his own to find someone with less conflicts of interest. Reducto suggests that Birdman call Freezoid, but no one at the firm wants to defend him, so he's stuck with Falcon. At the trial, Spyro calls an expert to link Birdman's scanned ass with copies of the destroyed dog. But, Birdman eventually realizes that his attorney has his best interests at mind and the judge has no interest in helping him out. Nor does Phil, who is too busy making out with his one-eyed girlfriend to listen to any of his messages.

After the jury comes back from chambers and declares Birdman not guilty, Judge Mentok overturns the decision and sentences him to the death penalty. While in prison, he "becomes hard," learns to read and is married to Magilla Gorilla. Birdman's appeal is denied and he's strapped to the electric chair with several witnesses like Peanut, Reducto, Phil and Mentok.

But, just when the switch is pulled that will turn on the electricity, it turns out that the whole thing was just an elaborate 40th birthday surprise party. The dog isn't really dead and it was all a big joke, with the exception of his marriage which was totally real.
