Plot Overview

A wolf attack at the Haven Hunt Club inside the man's car draws Nathan and Parker's attention. When there is another attack a short time later in a man's garage the town organizes a hunt to track down the wolf and kill it.

During the hunt, Nathan prevents his father from firing on Jess Minion's dog. Then they are attacked by a moose. It knocks the Chief and Dave down before Parker and Nathan bring down the moose. When they examine the carcass, they realized it is a stuffed moose, not a live animal at all.

Nathan and Parker go to the Hunt Club to look at the stuffed animals on display. There they discover a wolf with blood on his fangs. When Eleanor does an autopsy, she finds a human finger inside the stuffed wolf. Parker notices that the animals are re-animating in the reverse order they were killed, most recently killed first. Nathan notices that there are other animals missing, including a bear.

As Dave is relaxing on his front porch, the bear arrives and chases Dave and Vince into the basement. Nathan and Parker arrive in time to save them by setting the bear on fire.

While talking to Dave, Nathan and Parker find out that most of the animals at the Hunt Club were stuffed by Landon. They go to his taxidermy shop to talk with him, but there they find out that Landon is stuffed too. He flees the shop, going to the Hunt Club, planning to destroy the taxidermy shop.

Piper, his mother, confesses that she stuffed Landon after Landon and his wife died in a fire. Landon's wife was disfigured by the fire, but Landon was not.

Nathan, Parker and Piper follow Landon to the Hunt Club. There, Piper locks herself in the trophy room with the stuffed animals, deciding that if she dies, they will stop coming alive. It works.

Later at the police station, Parker asks Eleanor to come to her office. There she talks to Eleanor about how Piper had been stuffed too, and that the family may have been stuffing and reanimating dead loved ones for generations.
